HorseSense focuses on developing self esteem, communication, and trust for at risk youth and their parents. Using horses in conjunction with decision making techniques helps individuals to see quickly and clearly the consequences of how they communicate.

Having a significant adult involved (a mentor, parent or guardian) helps to teach both the youth and the adult how to communicate more effectively with each other. We believe that people have to change their behavior in order to get the results they are looking for, both with horses and from each other.

Our mission is to develop and implement horsemanship and ranching programs for at risk youth and their families that will help build self-esteem and a satisfying life, full of potential.
